The Qizilbash population of Hisarak
in Afghanistan

69-3 m. Elevation 5,140 feet. A village in the upper portion of the Logar
valley, standing to the north of what is called the Hisarak pass, at a distance
of 12 miles in southwesterly direction from Zargan Shahar. The principal
village stands on the right bank of the Logar river, whilst its hamlets are
situated on both banks. In the village itself are 100 families of Tajiks and
Liasi Khels (a branch of the Astanazi Ghilzais). Attached to Hisarak are:

4 hamlets of Liasi Khels ― 45 families
·
2 hamlets of Tajiks ―20 families
·
1 hamlet of Kizilbashis ―15 families
·
3 hamlets of Popalzais ―40 families
