Afshar Nanachi (Ludwig W. Adamec, 1985)

Nanachi




A village 2 miles west of Kabul. Here are a succession of large forts surrounded by poplar and fruit trees. Shah Shuja halted here prior to his triumphal entry into Kabul in 1839. Inhabitants: Kizilbashis. The Nanachi pass leads from the Kabul plain into the Chardeh valley. (Havelock, I.B.C.)
