Amrullah Khan Kashkuli-Qashqai (Government of India, 1925)

Amrullah Khan Kashkuli



Born about 1897. Fourth son of late Haji Muhammad Karim Khan Kashkuli, the deputy for the Qashqai to the 1st Majlis, and towards the end of his life an influential counsellor of the Ilkhanis. In 1918 after the death of Muhammad Ali Khan, was appointed Kalantar of the Kashkulis and became an object of dislike to Soulat-ud-Douleh for the participation of that clan in the latter’s discomfiture. Lieutenant in 2nd Cavalry, S.P.R. till disbandment. Speaks and writes English fairly well. Head of the Anglo-Persian Oil guards at the working in the Kashkuli hills October 1921-22, but lost post through dishonesty in accounts. Entered Persian Army Cavalry. Isfahan 1924.
