Hadi Khan Kashkuli-Qashqai (Government of India, 1925)

Hadi Khan Kashkuli



Born 1880. Eldest son of late Haji Muhammad Karim Khan Kashkuli. The most sensible and well-informed of the Khans of this generation of the clan. Remained pro-British throughout the rising of Soulat-ud-Douleh in 1918. Encouraged the other Khans of the clan to negotiate an agreement with the Anglo-Persian Oil Coy. for exploitation of oil in the Kashkuli hills, October 1921. Accompanied Sir A. Wilson to Shiraz in May 1922. His activity is impaired by opium. Married daughter of Khusru Beg Kashkuli. After reprisals of Soulat-ud-Douleh against this clan 1923 kept in open detention with the Ilkhani’s following.
