The Qarapapaqs of Sulduz (General Staff, 1923)

Qarah Papaq



Chief. ― Rashid-us-Sultaneh, Amir Tuman, q.v.
Position. ― Sulduz plain south of Lake Urumiyah. Territory bounded on the north by the Lake, on the east by the Mukri, on the south by Laijan and on the west by Ushnu.
Strength. ― They occupy 110 villages and have a population of 10,000. They can produce a large number of fighting men but have only about 400 rifles.

Remarks. ― On good terms with the Mukri. Would be friendly with us if supported.
