Aghdash, Yengiji Turks village in Khorasan




ᾹQDASH―
A village situated on the south front of the Kalat-i-Nadiri plateau in North-Eastern Khorasan. It contains 80 families of Yangiji Turks, who own 150 cattle and 400 sheep and goats. The normal annual production of wheat and barley amounts to 4,000 and 1,600 Indian maunds respectively.―(Oranofsky, 1894; Sykes, 1906.)
