Azerbaijani Turkish language (Edward H. Stirling, 1835)

Azerbaijani Turkish language

I do not mean that now spoken in Turkey itself, but that which is the language of the Turcomans. This is spoken or understood all over Persia, particularly by the wandering tribes.

On the Political State of the Countries between Persia and India. By E. Stirling, Esq. // The Journal of the Royal Geographical Society of London. Volume 5. ― London: John Murray, 1835, p. 299.
