BULŪK-I-DARRŪD―
A sub-division of the Zabar Khan buluk of the Nishapur district of Khorasan, also the name of the principal village in that sub-division. The sub-division consists of a large valley in the extreme east of the district, stretching from the north-east to the south-east corner, and watered by the Darrud stream. The population, 2,000 families of Persians and Baiat Turks, is dependent to a great extent on the produce of gardens and vineyards. The revenue of the buluk is estimated at 3,000 tumans.―(Napier.)
